Bear Creek Candle Company® ships every order with the same care we put into making our products. Here's what to expect.
Where we ship
We currently ship anywhere in the continental United States. If you're local to mid-Michigan, send us a note — we may be able to arrange a pickup or local hand-off and save you the shipping cost.
We're not shipping internationally just yet. If you're outside the US and interested, reach out and we'll see what's possible.
Processing time
Orders ship within 2 to 5 business days of being placed. Big batch days or holiday weekends may add a day or two — we'll let you know if anything is unusually delayed.
Every bar is hand-cut and wrapped here in Michigan. We don't have a warehouse full of inventory waiting; we keep small batches and make more often. That's the trade-off that comes with handmade.
Shipping rates
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order. We ship through USPS — typically First Class for smaller orders and Priority Mail for larger ones. Rates and any free-shipping thresholds will be visible before you complete your purchase.
Delivery times
After your order ships, expect:
- USPS First Class: 2 to 5 business days
- USPS Priority Mail: 1 to 3 business days
These are USPS estimates, not guarantees. Weather, holidays, and the general state of the postal service can affect actual delivery times.
Tracking
Every order includes tracking. You'll get a confirmation email with the tracking number the moment your package ships.
Wrong addresses
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we'll refund the order total minus the original shipping cost, or you can pay for re-shipment — your call.
Lost or damaged packages
If your package is marked delivered but you can't find it, first check with neighbors and household members. Wait 24 hours — USPS occasionally marks packages delivered before they actually arrive. If it still hasn't shown up, email us and we'll work with you on next steps.
If your package arrives damaged, please take a photo of the damage (box and contents) before discarding anything, and email it to us. We'll either replace the affected items or refund you — your choice.
Holiday delays
Around the major holidays (Thanksgiving through New Year's, Mother's Day, Valentine's), expect a day or two longer for both processing and delivery. We'll post any major schedule changes on our Instagram.
